Overmars has recently been linked with the director of football role with Newcastle United, while Ten Hag’s name has been put forward for the now vacant Manchester United role.
However, De Telegraaf is reporting that Overmars and Ten Hag have both indicated to Ajax management that they will be going nowhere before the end of the season.
Ten Hag told ESPN on Sunday that he was fully focused on Ajax and the club’s fans can now be assured that the head coach is going nowhere. Ajax are top of the Eredivisie and have already booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
De Telegraaf does add that Ten Hag may have his head turned in the summer.

There is the answer to your question! As usual for the writers of Football Oranje, whenever you discuss Ajax, there is always a certain negative bias that I have pointed out before but is starting to drive me away from this site. When the rumors about Newcastle appeared out of the blue, you were almost the first ones to jump on them with an undeniable glee indicating your level of enthusiasm for such a move away from Ajax. In truth, absolutely not one person remotely associated with the club thought either or both would leave for Newcastle but yet you highlighted this as a very serious possibility. And now Manchester United! Seriously? Ajax is no longer the Ajax of 10 yeasr ago. The club under TH and Overmars is now solidly in the top 10 of European football according to UEFA rankings (we rank 8 in the past 3 1/2 years) so there is no reason to leave even for a club like Man Ud. It would be very much appreciated if you valued Ajax as it should since the club is the main reason for the re-emergence of Dutch football at the UEFA coefficient and Dutch football more generally. Time to stop these idiotic rumors anchored in “fake news” and do some research before posting them. This is what journalism is all about.
