kongolo aTerence Kongolo is the latest player to be linked away from the club in Feyenoord’s summer exodus. The 20-year-old defender has drawn interest from English club Southampton FC (to which former teammate Graziano Pelle moved to earlier in July) and German teams VfB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV.

Kongolo has stated that he prefers to stay at Feyenoord, but expects a raise on his current salary that sees him being the lowest-paid player at the club.

Kongolo made 17 appearances for Feyenoord’s senior team as the club clinched 2nd place and a Champions League play0ff spot. His good form earned the young centre-back a callup from Louis van Gaal to the 2014 World Cup, where the Feyenoord man made a solitary substitute appearance en route to claiming a 3rd place medal.
