Speaking to the official Ajax website, Krul said, ”Things are going well. I am currently recovering from a knee injury and I will not be able to play this coming Sunday away at Go Ahead Eagles. I anticipate that I will be ready after the international break and even then I will have to play a few games in the reserves because game time is completely different to training.

”There are not many clubs that can compare with Newcastle United but Ajax is definitely in that category they always have a lot of talented players in their squad and I look forward to helping the young players with my experience that I have built up the last 10 years.”

” I am proud to be in goal for Ajax for this coming season”.
