Koeman, de Boer and Gullit are probably the likely candidates. They are without jobs and I don’t see Cocu or van Bronkhorst leaving their current jobs for part-time employment. Another interesting idea would be to allow the manager to coach both club and country and assemble a team say de Boer, van Bronkhorst and Cocu. We should not be limited in the sense of choice and I think if the KNVB is smart they will not allow Koeman to walk away and the only limitations they should standby, the next manager should be Dutch.
A big no to Gullit. He wafffles on and on and on on BEIN sport about his favourite subject….himself.
Among these options, Koeman is only one who understands the need to change systems and tactics in order to get results.
The KNVB probably won’t do it, but I really think they should consider hiring a foreign manager as well. Most Dutch coaches on the whole are too stuck on the idea of playing the 4-3-3. There simply aren’t enough good players in the side right now to make this system work in international football.
Erik ten Hag would be another great option! Is probably 2nd best choice and not listed!
