The 19-year-old has also been rewarded with a bumper new contract which will keep him tied to the club until 2022.
Style of Play
Eiting is a ball playing defensive midfielder who likes to dictate play from deep. His vision and passing range is exceptional and he can pick out a pass from anywhere on the field. He is deadly from set piece situations and likes to fire shots at goal from range with a powerful right foot. Eiting isn’t just strong with the ball at his feet, he also works tirelessly to win back possession from opponents and is a strong tackler.
What to expect from Eiting this season
Ajax’s talent factory has developed a number of exceptional midfielders recently with both Frenkie de Jong and Donny van de Beek set to play a big part in the club’s campaign. Eiting’s promotion to the first team also shows the faith that coach Marcel Keizer has in the 19-year-old and he should quickly make his Eredivisie debut. With Ajax set to compete in the Europa League and the KNVB Cup their should be plenty of chances for the midfielder to showcase his fantastic ability.
