The Premier League side has raided Ajax in the past for the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Jan Verthongen and Christian Eriksen, and it appears that Tottenham have got their sights on Amsterdam again.

Sky Sports is reporting that Tottenham have been watching Frenkie de Jong for months and see the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Moussa Dembele. The former AZ star is being linked with a move away from Spurs with Internazionale and AC Milan looking to sign him in the summer.

However, there is no chance that De Jong will depart Ajax in January with the 20-year-old recently penning a new deal until 2022. The Netherlands U21 international is also being closely followed by Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
