ADO Den Haag stunned the Grolsche Veste stadion on Saturday night as they hammered FC Twente 4-1.

ado dADO Den Haag boss Henk Fraser handed a debut to new signing Mike Havenaar, and after twelve minutes the former Vitesse striker fired his new side ahead from Edouard Duplan’s cross. The tall striker then played a part in the away side’s second on 26 minutes as his challenge led Nick Marsman to drop the ball in front of Ruben Schaken, and the winger forced the ball over the line.

Hakim Ziyech curled in an excellent free kick to bring his side back into the match early in the second half, but ADO Den Haag continued to dominate with both Schaken and  Timothy Derijck hitting the woodwork.

Vito Wormgoor eventually made it 3-1 for the away side with a header, before Duplan rounded off the resounding win by nodding in Schaken’s cross.

A tough night for FC Twente, but after holding PSV last week, ADO Den Haag are off to a flying start.
