FC Twente are up to fifth after a 2-1 win over Willem II in Enschede.

The hosts began the game brightly with Enes Unal seeing a shot blocked by Darryl Lachman. Eventually, just before the half hour mark, Twente did take the lead with Lachman, unfortunately, heading Bersant Celina’s cross into his own net.

Just before the break it was 2-0 with Unal finding the top corner with a fantastic strike from just outside the box. It was the Manchester City loanee’s 12th goal of the season.

With twenty minutes left Willem II gave themselves hope when Jordy Croux fired past Nick Marsman from close range, but the hosts held on for the three points.

Twente rise into fifth spot while Willem II remain ninth.
