Twente should have been ahead in the opening minutes when Luc Castaignos’s ball across the box found Quincy Promes at the back post, but the winger could not control with the goal gaping, and the ball trickled to safety.
Feyenoord took the lead on 14 minutes with an excellent finish by Graziano Pelle, who controlled Jean Paul Boetius’s cross before spinning and hitting a left footed half volley past Nick Marsman to make it 1-0.
Boetius added a 2nd 10 minutes into the second half, as he fired into the corner from the edge of the box after being laid of by Lex Immers.
Luc Castaignos gave the home side hope when he pulled a goal back on 68 minutes, firing past Erwin Mulder after running onto a through ball.
Feyenoord looked like they were going to hold on for the three points, but in the 4th minute of injury time, Lex Immers gave away a needless corner, and from the delivery Cuco Martina fired a low shot into the corner to make it 2-2.
Feyenoord now slip down to 4th in the table, and sit nine points behind Ajax at the top, while Twente are now six points adrift of the Champions.
It doesn’t say anywhere how the match really went. The UEFA should do something about our league. Feyenoord is being kept small on purpose. This match was decided by the ref. Just like last week. But in this part you can’t find anything about that. It’s like Twente was better while they actually never had a chance. Just like NAC last week.
