tadic cGo Ahead Eagles hit the bar through Turuc early on, while Luc Castaignos saw his effort saved well by Eloy Room as the home side started to take control.

On 21 minutes a free-kick routine ended with Felipe Gutierrez finishing from close range to give Twente the lead.

Xander Houtkoop missed a great chance for the visitors to equalise before the break as he could only hit straight at Nick Marsman when one on one with the keeper.

Early in the second half, Go Ahead Keeper Eloy Room denied Luc Castaignos twice from close range. However the striker netted on 56 minutes, as he diverted Youness Mokhtar’s header into the net.

However a minute later Go Ahead were awarded a penalty after Rasmus Bengtsson pulled back Jarchinio Antonia, and Jop van der Linden made no mistake to make it 2-1.

It was three goals in six minutes as Twente made it three one through Dusan Tadic’s blasted free-kick from the edge of the box which rocketed into the top corner.

Twente passed up a number of opportunities to make it 4-1, but they also comfortably saw out their win, and go level on points with Vitesse at the top ahead of Sundays action.
