cast and tadThe derby of the east began brightly for the home side, with Luc Castaignos forcing Remko Pasveer into a great save early on after a good run from the striker.

On 23 minutes Twente had the lead as Quincy Promes fooled his marker with a couple of neat step-overs before firing a low shot into the bottom corner. Promes nearly made it 2-0 before the break, but his fierce effort from close range was brilliantly kept out by Pasveer.

Ten minutes into the second half it was 2-0, with Castaignos finishing a rebound after his initial effort was stopped by the unlucky Pasveer.

Things went from bad to worse for Heracles as only a minute after conceding they were reduced to ten men, with defender Jeroen Veldmate shown a straight red for pulling down Youness Mokhtar, who was through on goal.

On 77 minutes Heracles pulled a goal back against the run of play as striker Mark Uth curled into the top corner after an excellent weaving run from the German.

Twente sealed there win in the final two minutes from the penalty spot after Djordjevic was fouled by Thomas Bruns. Dusan Tadic stepped up and fired emphatically into the top corner to make it 3-1.

The win moves Twente temporarily to the top of the Eredivisie table, while Heracles remain 13th.
