The 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal in Enschede with the option of a third.
The Bosnian came to the Netherlands in 2016 with NEC Nijmegen before moving to Utrecht. He couldn’t hold down a spot in the Cathedral city and was loaned to SV Darmstadt 98 last season.
Dumic had no chance of playing time in Utrecht this season so has made the move to FC Twente. He told the club’s website, “From the first moment that I had contact with FC Twente, I felt that the club really wanted me, that is important to me. I have been here with NEC as well as with FC Utrecht. We lost both times. I remember the FC Twente supporters made a great impression on me. I can’t wait to play in this stadium. I’m going to do everything I can to help the team.”
Dumic is the ninth summer signing in Enschede. Twente previously signed Gijs Smal, Nathangelo Markelo, Václav Cerny, Kik Pierie, Danilo, Lazaros Lamprou, Alexander Jeremejeff and Tyronne Ebuehi. Only Smal and Dumic are permanent deals.
