The 19-year-old forward moved to Enschede on loan last summer and has been a revelation in the Eredivisie with 12 league goals.

Voetbal International is reporting that Twente have now opened talks with Manchester City in the hope of agreeing a deal for Unal to stay in Enschede next season as well. The Premier League giants are reportedly open to the idea of Unal staying on loan next season to aid his development.

With Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus and Kelechi Iheanacho all at Pep Guardiola’s disposal at the moment, Unal’s chances of first team football in England is slim.
