FC Twente have received Compensation from World football governing body FIFA for their Chilean midfielder Felipe Gutierrez according to De Telegraaf.

The 24 year old went to Brazil for the World Cup with complications in his left knee and came back with a worse condition having played in all four of his team’s matches.
Surgery followed in August and initially the diagnosis said that the midfielder would be back by January but the recovery is expected to last much longer.
The Tukkers though via FIFA Club Protection Programme have claimed compensation which has now been paid. The expenses include the player’s salary and his rehabilitation expenses.
The club have on previous occasions too received compensation after Nikolay Mihaylov (Bulgaria) and Leroy Fer (Netherlands) were also injured on international duty.
