Ajax u19’s beat Hammarby 4-0 in Sweden as they got their UEFA Youth League campaign off to a great start.

With Kaj Sierhuis and Che Nunnely in the starting line-up, Ajax were frustrated in the first half as they failed to find the net.

However, six minutes into the second half, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp broke the deadlock, firing in on the rebound after Nunnely’s initial effort was saved. Two minutes later, Ekkelenkamp doubled the scoreline with a fine lob over the Hammarby keeper from close range.

Nunnely added the third with a fine solo run and finish into the top corner before 15-year-old Ryan Gravenberch netted a fourth on his UEFA Youth League debut.

A perfect start in the competition for John Heitinga’s boys.
