The UEFA Youth League continued on Wednesday with both PSV and Ajax U19’s recording comfortable victories.

In their second group D match, PSV recorded a simple 6-0 win in Russia. Dante Rigo opened the scoring after 19 minutes with a vicious strike from distance before the Belgian doubled the lead moments later from the penalty spot.

Rigo then turned provider with his free kick headed in by Lennerd Daneels to make it 3-0 and before the break an own goal by Sukhomlinov put PSV four up at half time. In the second half, PSV continued to dominate and added more goals through Gianluca Scamacca and an own goal by Danil Sviridov.

The win puts PSV second in the group behind Bayern Munich who beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the other group game.

Breidablik U19 0-3 Ajax U19

In the domestic champions stage of the tournament, Ajax began their journey with a comfortable victory over Breidablik in the first leg of their first round tie. An early goal from striker Kaj Sierhuis set Ajax on their way before Matthijs de Ligt doubled the lead on 25 minutes. Dani de Wit sealed victory for the Amsterdam club in the second half.
