Sjors Ultee has signed a one-year deal to become the new head coach of Fortuna Sittard.

René Eijer left his post at the end of the campaign after keeping Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie.

On Thursday, the Limburg club confirmed that Ultee would be his replacement on a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old, who did not have a career in professional football, has previously worked as a youth coach and assistant with both FC Twente and Utrecht.
