The Bundesliga are still aiming to complete the season with football expected to resume in June. When it does get back underway, Bayern Munich still have nine league games and are still in the Cup and Champions League.
Before the corona virus outbreak, Zirkzee was second choice behind Robert Lewandowski and made a big impression with several key goals.
However, BILD is reporting that Zirkzee has looked “Unmotivated and unhappy”, during training sessions and he could be overtaken in the pecking order by Jann-Fiete Arp, who is still waiting for his first-team debut for the club after joining from Hamburg last summer.
BILD observed that during a recent training session there was a game where players where tasked with scoring as many goals as they could in a certain time period. Arp scored 8 and was top, while Zirkzee didn’t score a single one.
