Heracles moved out of the bottom three after an entertaining 4-2 win over Utrecht on Sunday.

herutredddThe away side went into the game on the back of two wins, and they took the lead after only eight minutes as Thomas Bruns converted from close range.

Utrecht leveled on 24 minutes when Kristoffer Peterson raced onto Van der Maarel’s pass before beating a defender and rolling the ball through Dennis Telgenkamp’s legs. The home side then had a great opportunity to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty, but Yassine Ayoub’s poor spot kick was saved by Telgenkamp.

The penalty miss came back to haunt Utrecht as four minutes into the second half Mark jan Fledderus finished off a swift counter attack to give Heracles the lead.

Utrecht then hit the post through Edouard Duplan before Heracles opened up a two goal lead on 74 minutes through Wout Weghorst, who calmly slotted past Robbin Ruiter.

Gevero Markiet gave Utrecht hope in the first minute of added time, but straight from kick off Illias Bel Hassani sealed the win for Heracles, who move above ADO Den Haag into 15th. Utrecht sit 10th.
