Utrecht have climbed back up to fourth after a 3-1 win over PEC Zwolle.

After the 3-0 defeat to PSV last weekend, Erik ten Haag decided to ring the changes with Richairo Zivkovic and Nacer Barazite dropped to the bench in favour of Patrick Joosten and Gyrano Kerk.

The hosts dominated the first period but had to wait until the 44th minute to take the lead as Kerk worked the ball into the net off the body of PEC Zwolle defender Bram van Polen.

Four minutes into the second half it was 2-0 as Kerk acrobatically worked Sean Klaiber’s cross into the net. Nacer Barazite then came off the bench to seal the victory for Utrecht with a nice finish after a clever Sebastien Haller assist.

With five minutes to go, Nicolai Brock-Madsen scored a lovely goal but it proved to be nothing but a consolation. Utrecht move above AZ into fourth while PEC Zwolle are 13th.
