Utrecht have announced Erik ten Hag as their new head coach and technical manager, while Jean-Paul de Jong also joins as a coach.

Ten Hag (44) will leave his position as coach at Bayern Munich II at the end of the season, and will sign a two-year-deal with Utrecht in the dual role of head coach and technical manager. He will be joined by Jean-Paul de Jong, who will leave his position as head coach of FC Eindhoven this summer, and should sign a 4-year-deal in the Cathedral City.
Both coaches were teammates at Utrecht during the 1995-96 season, and they will now be tasked with taking the club forwards after a disappointing campaign under Robby Alflen.
Speaking to the Utrecht official site, Ten Hag said, This appointment at a great club like FC Utrecht, comes to me at a good time. This is a new challenge in my career.”

Ten Hag and De Jong will be presented by Utrecht at the end of the season.
