ten hag urrTen Hag (44) will leave his position as coach at Bayern Munich II at the end of the season, and will sign a two-year-deal with Utrecht in the dual role of head coach and technical manager. He will be joined by Jean-Paul de Jong, who will leave his position as head coach of FC Eindhoven this summer, and should sign a 4-year-deal in the Cathedral City.

Both coaches were teammates at Utrecht during the 1995-96 season, and they will now be tasked with taking the club forwards after a disappointing campaign under Robby Alflen.

Speaking to the Utrecht official site, Ten Hag said, This appointment at a great club like FC Utrecht, comes to me at a good time. This is a new challenge in my career.”

“I strive to create an environment in which everyone reaches the maximum of themselves and each other. You must want to improve yourself every day and at every level push the boundaries; that’s the approach. You must have the drive to get the most out of yourself.”

Ten Hag and De Jong will be presented by Utrecht at the end of the season.
