Utrecht have confirmed the signings of free agent Urby Emanuelson and NEC Nijmegen centre-back Dario Dumic. 

Emanuelson has been a free agent since leaving Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the season and was training with Utrecht. The club have now confirmed that the former Ajax and AC Milan winger has signed a one-year contract with the option of a second.

The 31-year-old is joined at the club by NEC centre-back Dario Dumic who has also made the move to Stadion Galgenwaard on a four-year deal. The Bosnian had two years left on his contract with Nijmegen but leaves after the club were relegated to the Eerste Divisie.

Utrecht begin their season this Thursday with the first leg of their Europa League second round qualifier against Valletta FC.
