koch psvAfter losing Timo Letschert to Sassuolo, Utrecht have been looking for a new central defender and they have now confirmed that Menno Koch will join on loan until the end of the season from PSV Eindhoven.

Utrecht coach Erik ten Hag said on his new signing, “Menno is a young, talented central defender who has been a long time with the first selection at PSV. From my time at PSV I know he is a professional who has everything in order to develop properly. ”

The 22-year-old recovered from a serious injury last season and spent the latter part of the campaign on loan with NAC Breda, making nine appearances for the club. Koch has trained with the PSV first team this summer but is not part of Phillip Cocu’s plans and has been allowed to depart in order to gain regular first team football.
