Utrecht have confirmed the signing of Ajax striker Richairo Zivkovic on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old spoke out about his frustration in Amsterdam earlier this summer and indicated that he wanted to leave, whether it be on a permanent move for loan. Utrecht’s interest in the striker was rumoured earlier this month and on Tuesday they confirmed that Zivkovic had joined on loan until the end of the season.
Utrecht boss Erik ten Hag is delighted with his new signing, said on Zivkovic,”Zivkovic is a talented center forward, who has collected a lot of experience despite his youth. He has proven to have a nose for the goal when used in the right way. ”
“We are convinced that he is of value to FC Utrecht and I look forward to working with him,”
Zivkovic made a big impression last Friday when he netted a hat-trick and added an assist in Jong Ajax’s 4-1 win at Almere City in the Eerste Divisie. He will be hoping to make an immediate impact when Utrecht host AZ Alkmaar this Sunday.
