Utrecht made it four league wins in a row with a convincing 3-0 victory over ADO Den Haag.

After only eight minutes, Utrecht had the lead thanks to a horrible error by goalkeeper Indy Groothuizen. Dion Malone played the ball back to the goalkeeper, who failed to clear and that allowed Cyriel Dessers to nip in and score.

Groothuizen responded well by keeping out a fine strike by Oussama Tannane, while at the other end, ADO Den Haag failed to create any clear cut chances for an equaliser.

The second-half was a dull affair until the 68th minute when Timo Letschert headed the ball into the path of Willem Janssen who netted Utrecht’s second. Joris van Overeem then sealed the victory after being played in on goal by Gyrano Kerk.

Tannane came close to adding a fourth before the end but his strike came back off the inside of the pos.

Utrecht climbs up to fifth due to the victory while ADO Den Haag drops to twelfth.
