Utrecht have ended their three game run without a victory by beating Heracles Almelo 2-0.

Utrecht went into the season hoping to break into the top three, but the season has been a disaster so far and they went into the game against Heracles sitting 10th.
Utrecht had the best chances early in the game but Sander van der Streek was denied by Janis Blaswich, while Gyrano Kerk also couldn’t beat the goalkeeper.
However, in the 31st minute, Van der Streek did net after an error from the Heracles stopper, who let his header trickle into the net.
Heracles barely threatened an equaliser and in the 72nd minute, Blaswich spilled a free-kick into the path of Adrian Dalmau, who netted against his former club.
The win isn’t enough to lift Utrecht from tenth but they move level on points with Sparta. Heracles are 12th.
