Utrecht have confirmed the signing of FC Twente goalkeeper Nick Marsman on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old’s contract with Twente expired this summer and Marsman has quickly found a new club with Utrecht confirming his arrival on a one-year contract, with the option of a second.

Utrecht boss Eric ten Hag told the official Utrecht website, “Nick brings a lot of experience to FC Utrecht. In terms of age he represents the middle class. This fits perfectly with our selection.

“He has individual qualities that add value and shines with his appearance, height, calmness and authority.”

Marsman spent the last six years with FC Twente, making 117 appearances.
