FC Utrecht have completed the signing of defender Christian Kum from fellow Eredivisie club SC Heerenveen.

The 28 year old German born defender joins Utrecht as a free agent after his Heerenveen contract expired at the end of the season. The centre back spent the last two seasons at Abe Lenstra Stadion, after joining them from ADO Den Haag where he had spent previous eight seasons.
Kum has become the Cathedral City club’s fifth signing of the season along with Ramon Leeuwin, Ruud Boymans, Danny Verbeek and Willem Janssen who was acquired from FC Twente.
Kum who can play both as a center back and as a left back has made 184 Eredivisie appearances and adds a lot of experience to the team that finished 10th last season.
