Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Sunderland left-back Patrick van Aanholt for £14 million.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace for weeks and finally, on Monday the transfer was confirmed, with Van Aanholt signing a deal until 2021 with the London club.
The Dutch international told the Palace official website, “It’s a great club with great fans and when I spoke to the manager a couple of times he was really interested in signing me which made my choice easier of course.”
Van Anholt joined Sunderland from Chelsea in the summer of 2014 and made 95 appearances for the Black cats over the past two years. He will be reunited with former boss Sam Allardyce in London.
