van aanholt bVan Aanholt still has a year left on his contract with Chelsea, and will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer looking to finally hold down a first team spot with the Blues.

First choice left back Ashley Coles’s contract is up in the summer, and with it unlikely to be renewed, Chelsea will be on the lookout for a replacement, which could be Van Aanholt.

According to De Telegraaf, the left back flew to London last week to hold showdown talks with boss Jose Mourinho on whether he has a future with Chelsea.

So far this season, Van Aanholt has been one of the standout stars for the Vitesse side, which currently sits 2nd, and with a real chance of winning the Eredivisie title.

His performances have seen Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal take notice, and the 23-year-old has a good chance of making the squad for this summers World Cup.
