Mark van Bommel has urged his PSV Eindhoven players to quickly move on from their Europa League exit on Thursday.

On Thursday night, PSV’s crisis season continued as they were hammered 4-0 by Sporting club de Portugal. A result that ended their European campaign.

On Sunday, PSV head to Emmen with the pressure firmly on Mark van Bommel, who has seen his side win only won of their last seven games.

Speaking at his press conference on Friday, Van Bommel said, “It is clear that we came back from Portugal with a nasty feeling. It was a disappointing evening. We did not do well there at defining moments against a very good team and the result is therefore not satisfactory.

“It is also clear, however, that we have to park the disappointment quickly, because on Sunday, Emmen will do everything to make it difficult for us.”

PSV drew 2-2 at Emmen last season despite a 2-0 lead.
