Van Bronckhorst spoke about the need to be positive against Napoli and also the injury sustained by Eric Botteghin, which will keep him out until the new year,
He said, “We are shocked by how serious the knee injury is sustained by Eric Botteghin. We deliberately waited to see how his knee would react the past few days and the news was not good. He will be out until the winter break. We analyse all the injuries are players sustain and we look at how we can prevent them.
“Against Napoli we must be positive although we are currently in a phase in the season where our results are not good and we must improve and perform better as a team.
“Napoli are a good team but you have seen in recent weeks that Champions League’s results can be unpredictable which is one of the great charms of football. We are certainly not favorites in Naples but we definitely have a chance.”
