Van Bronckhorst praised his side for their performance in the second half after being reduced to ten men with Steven Berghuis seeing red. Feyenoord had several chances to equalise but were kept out by PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet.
Van Bronckhorst said, ”I thought we deserved more today. My squad knew what we were up against coming here to Eindhoven to play PSV today and we suffered a bad start to the game.
”I did not consider taking off Steven Berghuis after his first yellow card because we were growing into the game and taking more initiative and Steven played a key role in that although I will admit that it was a silly yellow card to concede.
”Jeroen Zoet made two great saves in particular from Jens Toornstra and Eric Botteghin but I believe that we deserved at least a point from the game in the second half if you look how we dominated the play.”
