Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first game in charge of Guangzhou R&F ended in a 3-0 defeat to Shenzen FC.

The league resumed this weekend after being postponed for four months due to the coronavirus. On Sunday, Van Bronckhorst took charge of Guangzhou R&F for the first time.

However, it ended in a heavy 3-0 defeat to Shenzen FC. Li Songyi’s own goal on half an hour made it 1-0. After the break two penalties scored by Harold Preciado and Gao Lin, made it 3-0 at the end.

The Chinese league has been split into two groups of eight, with Guangzhou completing their games in Dalian.
