Donny van de Beek made his first Premier League start as Manchester United came from 2-0 down to defeat Southampton 3-2.

Van de Beek’s lack of Premier League game time had been a big topic among the club’s fanbase since the season began, but he finally got his chance in the game against Southampton.

Manchester United found themselves 2-0 down by half-time before Bruno Fernandes and an Edison Cavani brace turned the game around and handed Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer’s side a 3-2 win.

Van de Beek played the full ninety minutes and put in a tidy performance in the middle. He kept it simple and helped his side keep possession, while also making a number of tackles.
