Genk are looking for a new head coach after Jess Thorup made the switch to FC Copenhagen recently.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Genk have now set their sights on appointing John van den Brom as Thorup’s replacement.
The Dutch coach has been in charge of Utrecht since 2019 and has two years left on his current deal. He has previously worked in Belgium as head coach of Anderlecht, but was fired after poor results.
Neither Utrecht or Van den Brom would respond to the speculation.
