Edwin van der Sar has spoken with Manchester United and believes Donny van de Beek will get a chance with the club.

The former United goalkeeper still has contact with some people within the Premier League giants. The relationship between Van der Sar and Manchester United helped complete the transfer in the summer.

Speaking to Ziggo Sport, Van der Sar said on Van de Beek, “I do speak to more people at the club. He has fantastic attitude, he does well in training.”

Van der Sar believes the Dutch international has to be patient, “It’s difficult. Pogba is coming back, Fernandes is very important, Matic and McTominay, who are there. It is no shame at all, it is also a large club, isn’t it? Of course it is a large amount (forty million euros), But they have every confidence that he will get there.”

Van de Beek has only made 10 appearances in the Premier League this season, mostly from the bench. He was not used in the 0-0 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
