Liverpool resume their season sitting 22 points ahead of Manchester City and only need two wins to seal their first Premier League title since the league was reformed.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Van Dijk said he can’t wait to get back on the pitch, “We can finally do what we love so much.
“It was strange to stop so abruptly and be in such an unknown situation, not knowing when we would start again.”
Van Dijk was not worried about stories stating the league could be cancelled, “But I hate not knowing what’s going to happen. And it was pretty clear that cancelling the competition was not an option at all.”
Van Dijk cannot wait to get his hands on the Premier League trophy, “It would be a dream come true for me to win the Premier League and lift that prize. We were very close last year and this year we’re even closer. We have nine games to go and try to win them all. That is our goal. “
