Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has named his provisional squad for the upcoming friendly with France.

boetius 9Van Gaal’s pre-selection for the upcoming friendly against France on March 5 has six players who have never taken the field with Oranje: winger Jean-Paul Boëtius (Feyenoord), midfielder Davy Klassen (Ajax), (Feyenoord), winger Quincy Promes (Twente), defender Davy Pröpper (Vitesse), defender Karim Rekik (PSV), and goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet (PSV).

His selection mixes newcomers and veterans. Noticeably absent from the selection are Rafael van der Vaart, Jeremain Lens (suspended), and youngster Jetro Willems.
