kongolo aloThe squad features only players from the Eredivisie, as player playing outside of the Netherlands are still involved in their domestic league seasons.

Those selected will take place in a 10-day training camp based in Hoenderloo before facing Ecuador in a friendly match on May 17th

Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo is called up to the national team for the first time after an impressive season, while PSV´s forward Jurgen Locadia is also included.

Noticeable absentees include Jeffrey Bruma, Stijn Schaars, Siem de Jong, Joris Mathijsen and Adam Maher, who will all now likely miss out on the World Cup.

Players from Heerenveen, AZ, Groningen, and Vitesse could not be included due to be involved in the end of season play-offs.

Van Gaal will name his provisional 30-man Netherlands squad on May 30th before cutting it down to 23 players for the trip to Brazil

Here are the coaches selections:

Goalkeepers
Jasper Cillessen (Ajax), Kenneth Vermeer (Ajax), Jeroen Zoet (PSV)

Defenders:
Daryl Janmaat (Feyenoord), Bruno Martins Indi (Feyenoord), Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord), Daley Blind (Ajax), Karim Rekik (PSV), Joël Veltman (AFC Ajax), Terence Kongolo (Feyenoord)

Midfielders:

Holland have three matches before meeting Spain for the opening match of group B on June 13. Who of these players do you hope to see on the field or bench for that game?

I'm a digital/social marketer out of Chicago. I grew up loving Dutch football - total football is the only way to play. I support PSV in the Eredivisie, and whatever team has the most Dutch guys on it in any other league. Hup Holland Hup!
