Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has paid tribute to Johan Cruyff who died from cancer on Thursday.

van gaal ma boThe two have never been good friends and have often traded blows in the media, but Van Gaal has paid tribute to Cruyff, who sadly lost his battle with lung cancer on Thursday.

Van Gaal is quoted by AD saying, “This is a very sad day for the world of football, ”

“We have lost an absolute legend. My thoughts are with Johan’s family and friends.”
