van ginkel eThe 20 year old Dutchman joined Chelsea from Vitesse after promises of first team football from manager Jose Mourinho, but after three games, Van Ginkel has only appeared from the bench on two occasions.

He was forced to watch the 0-0 draw with Manchester United from the stands, while Chelsea look set to add another midfielder to their squad, as they have agreed a deal for Brazilian Willian.

However the player’s agent Rob Jansen hopes that Chelsea do not send Van Ginkel on loan, and keep their word about offering the youngster regular first team football.

Jansen told NuSport after being asked about a loan, “We hope not, because that would be against all agreements. But you never know with these clubs.”

“Everyone said this could be a bad move for his career because he has to play, Chelsea claimed at high and low before that it would happen.”

We will see if they can keep their word even… after some change the last day. ”

After van Ginkel joined Chelsea, Jansen also claimed that the midfielder wanted to join Ajax, but was forced into the move to England, because of Vitesse’s relationship with the London club.
