The Turkish newspaper is reporting that Fenerbahce have agreed a deal with Chelsea and that the loan should be completed in the next few days.

New Fenerbahce coach Phillip Cocu asked Damien Comolli, the new technical director of Fenerbahçe, to sign van Ginkel, who has spent the last two years on loan with PSV Eindhoven.

PSV wanted to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal this summer, but his transfer fee of €11 million is too high for the Eredivisie champions. Another loan deal was not an option and it seems that PSV will now miss out on his signature.

Cocu has also reportedly set his sights on signing Bas Dost too, with the Sporting CP striker set to be available on a free transfer after asking to have his contract rescinded.
