Pierre van Hooijdonk believes there is a big difference between PSV Eindhoven head coach Mark van Bommel and Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

On Studio Voetbal, Van Hooijdonk stated that he believes van Bommel is undoubtedly the boss at PSV Eindhoven, but can’t say the same for Ten Hag at Ajax.
He said, “Mark van Bommel dares to take unpopular measures, which appeals to me enormously. He is the absolute boss at PSV, nobody doubts, I think that Erik ten Hag’s role as boss at Ajax is doubted, at least by me.”
Van Bommel hooked star PSV player Hirving Lozano at half time in the 2-2 draw at Heerenveen and swapped Gaston Pereiro just after he scored a goal. Van Hooijdonk uses these changes as an example for his argument.
He said, “Gastón Pereiro scores and Van Bommel changes him, while it is an unwritten rule to change someone who has scored. On Ten Hag he added. “He took off Dusan Tadic against NAC with the score at a 4-0, which is easy, nobody will find it a problem to be changed.”
