According to Algameen Dagblad Spanish giants Barcelona are seriously interested in signing Dutch striker Robin van Persie this January.

The Dutch newspaper is reporting that Barcelona have held talks with Van Persie’s camp over a January move, and that the clubs technical director Robert Fernandez was in the Amsterdam Arena crowd on Tuesday night to watch the 32-year-old in action for Netherlands.
Barcelona are believed to be looking for an experienced back-up for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and reports in the last few weeks suggested that Dirk Kuyt was even a target.
However with Van Persie currently unhappy with his lack of game time with Fenerbahce, he could be engineer a January move to the Catalan side.
