Dutch international striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel could have joined Feyenoord after leaving Norwich City this summer.

The 25 year has now joined Saint Etienne in France’s ligue 1 on a season long loan after an unsuccessful season in the Premier League.
This is what the former Utrecht man had to say to Voetbal International, “I think the interest never turned into a concrete offer. It was certainly an option for me. During my years in Portugal and England, I continued to follow the Eredivisie closely”
“If I happen to be in Netherlands, I still sometimes look to FC Utrecht. I expect to be back in Netherlands some time, but at this time was Saint Étienne my first choice.”
The striker endured a miserable time at Carrow road and scored only one league all season in 25 games.
