PSV signed the Argentinian forward from Velez Sarsfield last year but he has struggled with injuries.
Romero has only made one first-team appearance and is now set to be loaned out this summer in order to regain his form.
Argentinian media including Ole, are reporting that the 20-year-old’s former club Velez Sarsfield are hoping to take him back to Argentina for a year. The clubs are said to be discussing a loan for the striker, who cost PSV €10 million.
