Feyenoord warmed up for this weekends KNVB Cup final with AZ Alkmaar by defeating Willem II 5-1 in Tilburg. Young striker Dylan Vente shone with two goals.

With one eye on the cup final, Giovannia van Bronckhorst decided to rest a number of players including Nicolai Jorgensen, Robin van Persie and Karim El Ahmadi, while Steven Berghuis was injured in the warm-up.

Dylan Vente was one of the players brought in for the tie in Tilburg and the youngster opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark, sweeping in Jens Toornstra’s cross at the near post.

Six minutes into the second half, Sofyan Amrabat fired in a second for the visitors after sloppy defending by Pedro Chirivella. Six minutes later a sweeping Feyenoord move ended with Kevin Diks crossing for Tonny Vilhena to tap in a third.

Bartholomew Ogbeche headed one back for Willem II but it was too prove nothing but a consolation as Vente added his second of the game to make it 4-1 before Bilal Basacikoglu sealed a comfortable win in injury time.

Feyenoord remain fourth after the win while Willem II are 14th.
