Tonny Vilhena has departed the Netherlands squad after testing positive for covid 19.

The Krasnodar midfielder did not train with his teammates on Tuesday and is now in isolation. He had no symptoms of the virus, but will now have to quarantine.

The KNVB adheres to strict covid rules among the squad and players are tested regularly. Any player that tests positive is immediately isolated from the group.

Netherlands face Spain on Wednesday before clashes with Bosnia & Herzegovina and Poland.

Frank de Boer is yet to call a replacement for Vilhena.
