Vitesse Arnhem are still looking for their first win as a last minute Cambuur goal saw them held to a 2-2 draw.

labyad dkdnfIt was the visitors who made a fast start to the match, and they took the lead on ten minutes when Michiel Hemmen’s shot taking a deflection before looping over Piet Velthuizen, and into the net.

The lead only lasted nine minutes though as another deflection aided Zakaria Labyad’s strike into the top corner despite goalkeeper Leonard Nienhuis getting his hand to the ball.  Vitesse were awarded a penalty on 36 minutes after Qazaishvili was fouled, and Labyad sent Nienhuis the wrong way to give his side a 2-1 lead heading into the break.

In the second half, Bertrand Traore, and Denis Oliynyk both saw chances to seal the win thwarted by Nienhuis in the Cambuur goal, while full back Wallace saw a effort fall on the roof of the net.

Vitesse were made to pay for their missed chances as with a minute to go Piet Velthuizen could only parry Martijn Barto’s shot, and Bartholomew Ogbeche slammed into the net.

It another disappointing result for Vitesse boss Peter Bosz, who saw his side hammered 4-1 by Ajax last week, while Cambuur make it two draws in two matches.
